Day 1 - Tuesday 13th February

My first official day of unemployment! Yikes, pretty scary when you say it like that.....
Not to fear however, I'm packing up my crap and moving back up to the midlands immanently (in the next 3 hours). I'm scheduled to start my new Job with Hill-Rom, tomorrow morning @ 9:00am so I'm really looking forward to that. Having spoken with my new manager my induction plan looks pretty interesting over the next 4 weeks, however I'm going to leave out the details until they happen .... need to keep you guys coming back and reading up on how I'm doing, suffice to say I'll be need my passport.
I popped back into CC yesterday to collect the remaining bits of crap I'd left in the office, it was nice to see everyone again albeit only for a sort time. I managed to fit in once final Dermot prank which involved sending out a beautiful picture of DD sea fishing with his ass hanging out of his shorts ..... it wasn't pleasant nor would I want to drive you all away by publishing this photo online .... so I won't ... however, if I were to get enough comments in favour of publishing the photo I'd could be persuaded to do it!
Anyway as I mentioned, I've got to get myself ready for the big off back to the midlands, so I'll sign out. Keep checking back as I'm sure following my hectic drive to the midlands today in the mighty beast I'll have a little more to update you on.
Keep it real and Don't fall asleep on the Circle Line!

A little about Me

My photo
My name is Mitch Beaumont and I've been a technology professional since 1999. I began my career working as a desk-side support engineer for a medical devices company in a small town in the middle of England (Ashby De La Zouch). I then joined IBM Global Services where I began specialising in customer projects which were based on and around Citrix technologies. Following a couple of very enjoyable years with IBM I relocated to London to work as a system operations engineer for a large law firm where I responsible for the day to day operations and development of the firms global Citrix infrastructure. In 2006 I was offered a position in Sydney, Australia. Since then I've had the privilege of working for and with a number of companies in various technology roles including as a Solutions Architect and Technical team leader.
